Meropenem Injection is an antibiotic. It is used to treat infections of the skin, stomach, and meningitis (infection of the membrane that surrounds the brain and spinal cord). It works by killing the bacteria that cause infection.
Merobac 1gm Injection contains Meropenem, an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, gynecological infections, skin infections, meningitis, and septicemia. It is also used in febrile neutropenia and bacterial infections in neutropenic patients.
During the treatment, your doctor may conduct blood tests periodically. Caution is advised in patients with liver problems, kidney problems, and diarrhea.
Merobac 1gm Injection is not recommended in patients with gastrointestinal problems and hypersensitivity reactions. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using it.
Use with caution in children over 3 months old and geriatric patients.
Common side effects may include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, skin rash, itching, pain, and inflammation. If any of these symptoms persist, consult your doctor for further guidance.
