Indacaterol is a long-acting β2-agonist (LABA) that stimulates β2-adrenoceptors, increasing cyclic AMP, which relaxes bronchial smooth muscle and reduces mediator release from mast cells.
Glycopyrronium is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (anticholinergic) that blocks M3 receptors in airway smooth muscle, causing bronchodilation.
Together, they improve airflow and reduce COPD symptoms.
Oxima Plus is prescribed for the long-term, once-daily maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction in adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
Not for: Acute bronchospasm or asthma.
Composition (per inhaler capsule):
Indacaterol 110 mcg (as Indacaterol Maleate, micronized)
