Recogen 5000IU Injection is prescribed for the treatment of chronic anaemia and anaemic conditions linked to:
- Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), especially in patients on dialysis
- Chemotherapy-induced anaemia in cancer patients
- HIV-related anaemia (in patients on zidovudine therapy)
- Bone marrow disorders
- Patients undergoing major elective surgery (to reduce blood transfusion needs)
- Usually given 1–3 times weekly as per your doctor’s instructions.
- Administered by a doctor/nurse via intravenous (IV) or subcutaneous (SC) injection.
- If prescribed for home use, a healthcare professional will train you on safe injection techniques.
- Always rotate injection sites and avoid injecting into swollen, bruised, or scarred areas.
