Rivadem 3 is prescribed to manage mild to moderately severe dementia in adults, including:
- Alzheimer’s dementia – a progressive neurodegenerative condition affecting memory and cognition
- Dementia in Parkinson’s disease – a condition with cognitive impairment alongside motor symptoms
- Regular monitoring may be required for weight, heart rate, and tolerance to dose adjustments
- Do not stop taking the medicine abruptly without consulting your physician
- In case of missed dose or treatment interruption, consult your doctor about how to restart
Rivadem 3 enhances brain function by inhibiting enzymes (acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase) that break down acetylcholine, a key neurotransmitter involved in memory and learning. Increasing acetylcholine levels at nerve synapses helps improve or stabilize cognitive symptoms in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson related dementia.
