Indications

A muscle relaxant is Tolson 100. It eases the discomfort brought on by musculoskeletal conditions that are painful and rigid, such as muscle spasms, tension, rigidity, and rigidity. It is best to take Tolson 100 with food. This will avoid stomach upset and lessen the possibility of adverse effects. In general, you should aim to use the least amount necessary for the shortest amount of time to control your symptoms. While you are in need of this medication, you should take it frequently. Avoid missing doses as this will reduce the medication’s effectiveness.

Pharmacology

Tolperisone Hydrochloride is primarily used to treat elevated muscle tone and pressure as well as for some circulation problems in the extremities. It is a centrally acting muscle relaxant that acts on the central nervous system.

Administration & Dosage

The recommended dose is as follows:

  • Adult: 50–150 mg three times per day, depending on the patient’s tolerance and specific needs.
  • Children (3 months to 6 years old): 5 mg/kg per day, divided into three doses.
  • Children (aged 6 to 14): 2-4 mg/kg/day, divided into three doses. or as instructed by the licensed doctor.

Interaction

Concomitant utilization of methocarbamol with Tolperisone Hydrochloride has been detailed to cause an unsettling influence of visual accommodation.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any component of the product, myasthenia gravis, and the nursing mother.

Side Effect

Possible side-effects include sometimes muscular weakness, headache, nausea, vomiting, and rarely hypersensitivity reactions (itching, redness of the skin, skin rash) may occur.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Tolperisone Hydrochloride should be used in pregnancy according to the physician’s advice. It should not be used during breastfeeding.
