Uses of Vitilimus
Vitilimus is indicated for treating:
- Atopic dermatitis (eczema)
- Allergic contact dermatitis
- Psoriasis
- Seborrheic dermatitis
- Lichen planus
- Vitiligo
- Alopecia areata
- Pyoderma gangrenosum
- Graft-versus-host disease
- Cutaneous lupus erythematosus
- Dermatomyositis
- Rosacea
- Ichthyosis
- Pemphigus vulgaris
Vitilimus is a topical immunosuppressant used in the management of atopic dermatitis (eczema). It works by inhibiting specific immune cells responsible for triggering inflammation in the skin, thereby reducing redness, swelling, and itchiness. It helps improve rashes associated with various inflammatory skin conditions.
Vitilimus is meant for external use only. Typically, it should be applied 2 to 4 times daily or as advised by a healthcare provider. Apply a thin, even layer to the affected skin and gently massage until absorbed. Avoid frequent overuse and do not cover the treated area with airtight bandages unless instructed to do so by a physician.
If no noticeable improvement is observed within two weeks or symptoms worsen, consult your healthcare provider. Though generally well-tolerated, possible application site reactions include mild burning, irritation, redness, or itching. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not routinely recommended unless needed.
