Zox Suspension 30ml is an antiprotozoal and antiviral medication used primarily to treat diarrhea caused by parasite infections of the intestines. It contains Nitazoxanide, which inhibits the production of substances required for the growth and metabolism of various parasites, anaerobic and microaerophilic organisms, and viruses.
The common side effects of Zox Suspension use are nausea, vomiting, headache, urine discoloration, and stomach pain. These side effects usually go away once your child’s body adapts to the medicine. Zox Suspension may make your child feel dizzy and sleepy. However, consult your child’s doctor at the earliest in case these side effects persist for long or start bothering your child. Discontinue Zox Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of the face and mouth, or difficulty in breathing.Â
Give Zox Suspension to your child with food to provide better absorption and avoid an upset stomach.
