Zithrin 500 mg Tablet has been shown to be effective against illnesses (caused by weaker organisms) that affect the lower respiratory tract, such as bronchitis and pneumonia, the upper respiratory tract, such as sinusitis and pharyngitis/tonsillitis, the skin, and delicate tissue. Zithrin 500 mg Tablet has been shown to be effective in treating non-gonococcal urethritis and cervicitis brought on by Chlamydia trachomatis in both men and women with STDs.
Zithrin 500mg Tablet contains Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections such as chest, throat, nasal, ear, and skin infections. It is also used to treat sexually transmitted diseases caused by organisms such as Chlamydia trachomatis/Neisseria gonorrhea. However, this medicine is not recommended for use in patients allergic to azithromycin, erythromycin/clarithromycin (macrolides), and ketolides. It should also be avoided by patients with a history of cholestatic jaundice/hepatic dysfunction. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any pre-existing medical conditions such as diabetes, myasthenia gravis, heart problems, and/or kidney problems. Zithrin 500mg Tablet should be used with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is not recommended for use in children weighing less than 45 kg and should be used with caution in elderly patients. The common side effects of Zithrin 500mg Tablet include stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence, dizziness, headache, and/or skin rash.
